About our eBooks
Access Method and Rights
When you purchase any paperback in Osborne Books’ AAT Accounting range, you will receive access to a free eBook copy. Ebooks are also available to purchase separately for AAT and other Accounting titles.
When you place an order for AAT books, or an eBook from any range, your eBook/s will be available to view immediately through either of the following methods:
- You can download your eBook/s to your phone or tablet and read them online or offline by logging in to your Student Zone account via Osborne Books app. The app is free to download. Please note that the app is currently only available on Apple and Android devices.
- You can also view your eBook/s on your PC (non-downloadable) by visiting our website and logging in to your Student Zone account.
If you have not placed an order with us before, you will create your new account login details in when placing your first order in our website shop.
If you have obtained your AAT books through your training centre, you can apply for a Student Zone account to access your free eBook/s here.
PLEASE NOTE: While you have the right to access your eBook/s, the copyright resides with Osborne Books Authors. Osborne Books reserves the right to modify or discontinue the offering of any Digital content at any time. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you acknowledge that Osborne Books Ltd is selling you a license to use the content made available through the Osborne Books Student Zone. If you wish to own your books indefinitely, we advise purchasing the paperback books and receiving access to supplementary eBooks free of charge.
Ebooks are accessible for 2 years from the date of purchase.
Use of your account
Ebooks are accessible from within individual customer accounts in the Osborne Books Student Zone. Login to each account is restricted to three devices. You are responsible for all use of your account and for protecting the confidentiality of your login details. You may not share your login details with anyone.
You may not share your eBooks or login details with another person.
Copyright and Digital Rights
Osborne Books eBooks are protected under copyright law. The use of Digital Rights Management (DRM) helps us to protect the eBooks against unauthorised copying and abuse. This means that print, copy and share restrictions are applied to our eBooks. Osborne Books retains control of all eBooks and reserves the right to remove eBooks from accounts in cases where the system has been abused.
Cancelling and refunding eBooks
You may return an eBook for a refund if we receive your request within two working days of purchase. When a refund is granted, we will remove access to the eBook and your payment will be refunded through the payment service you used to make the original payment.
If you have also ordered paperback books, and would like to return these to us, please see our separate book returns policy here.
Updates to eBook content
Osborne Books may occasionally update the content of the books and corresponding eBooks in response to curriculum changes. Where these changes are made the content that you see will automatically update, except where you have downloaded a copy of the book to a device; in this case you can simply re-download the eBook from your library to update it.
Moving eBooks between accounts
Your eBooks are linked to your Student Zone account via the email address you enter during the online checkout process or on your account application form. You must enter the same email address each time you place a new order to ensure that your account is updated correctly with any new purchases. If you have accidentally made a purchase using a different email address, please contact us so that we can move your eBooks to the correct account.
The Osborne Books’ app is currently available on Apple and Android devices. Please contact us if you need any help or more information.
If you lose your mobile or tablet device with eBooks stored on it, you can download Osborne Books app onto another device. All your eBooks are stored in your customer account, so as soon as you log in they will appear.
