Changes to Advance Diploma Synoptic Assessment

As you may know, AAT have amended the Advanced Diploma Synoptic Assessment from 1st January 2018. In addition to some structural changes to the tasks, Indirect Tax will no longer be part of the synoptic assessment, and there are a number of spreadsheet skills that will no longer be assessed.

Osborne Books are currently waiting to see the new sample assessment for the synoptic, at which point we will be able to revise the Tutor Zone material and then the Synoptic Workbook to reflect the content and structure of the new assessment.

We believe that the current workbook will thoroughly test the content of the assessment, and will also provide additional spreadsheet skills that will be useful in the workplace. However, we have carried out a thorough analysis of  the four practice assessments included in the book and detailed any instances of material that will no longer be assessed. This document can be found on the Tutor Zone.
